Skype Launced For Windows Mobile

A new version of Skype application has been launched for Windows Mobile phone that works just like Skype on your computer. This will enable users to access their log-in details, chat and make Skype calls to other users for free right from their mobile phone. The option of Pay As You Go credit or monthly subscriptions is also available.

Skype 2.5 Beta for Windows Mobile works on all Smartphones and Pocket PC phones. You can download it directly on to your phone and install it straight away, or you can save it to your PC and transfer it on to your Windows Mobile device.

A quick review of the system requirements are given below:

1. Compatible device with either Windows Mobile Professional or Windows Mobile Standard.
2. You need a minimum 12MB of free storage memory on your device to install Skype or 6MB free if you are installing from a memory card.
3. Please note that data usage costs apply for using Skype over 3G mobile networks (EDGE, EV-DO and UMTS), so we recommend an unlimited data plan.
4. WiFi connection or 3G/2G data connection (we cannot guarantee voice quality over 3G/2G. 5. You may also be liable to additional data charges so please check with your operator before using)
5. Use a headset for the best sound quality on calls.
